Many faces of Thomas continued...

I asked Thomas to wave to all his friends and family out there and this is the picture I got! I tried to do a little video for you all, but Thomas got mad at me!

I hope to get some more up this week.

Part 1

Hello Everyone! I'm just filling in and trying to post a few new pictures of Thomas and his family. I know how hard it is to be far away and wanting to see how he is doing and looking. Mom, Dad, and I are lucky to be visiting, so I asked Tommy if I could post a few! Believe me there are many more ;>!

Aunt Melanie with her niece and nephew!

Mere and her grandson enjoying a little snuggle time.

Papa and Thomas watching the game. Even saw cousin Beth on T.V. when watching the IRISH defeat IU!

Many faces of Thomas....

I'm not always happy, but always cute.

Random Thoughts of a 2 week Parent

So I have been thinking about things now that I am a parent and even though it is only 2 weeks. Here are some of my thoughts:

- How can a thing that small and tiny be so damn strong? I swear Thomas was doing push ups on my chest. He can grab something and pull with not much effort and move it easily. That is crazy.

- The sleep deprivation is not that bad if you have worked in football before. It is just like a season. 3 to 4 hours when you can get it and the rest doing things around the house.

- I have so much more respect for the female species. I knew all about what they do for pregnancy, how much labor hurts and all that. But being able to feed another living being with basically everything it needs is crazy. Just nutso.

- When do you feel like a parent? I keep waiting to get up one morning and feel like my parents. But I just feel like me. No big change. Just me with more responsibility which is cool.

- I have no clue how I am going to accomplish being a dad, a loving husband and a full time employee at the same time. That is time management at its best.

- I know my kid is only 2 weeks old but you could have told me I have been doing this for months and I would believe you. Maybe it is the exhaustion or maybe it is like everyone was saying before the kid came, You forget how life was before and you really don't miss it.

- How can men not want to be around and take care of their kids? I just don't get it. I see how tired my wife is and I just want to help as much as I can. I try to do everything but alas I don't have boobs.

- Life goes by fast enjoy the Hell out of it. Every day. I see that now more than ever. When Thomas just looks up at me and into my eyes. It is one of the biggest joys in my life. I don't know if and when that will change but man it makes me want to savor everything else to see if it is as awesome.

I am sure I have some more thoughts but alas I am exhausted and need to get some sleep tonight. I will post tomorrow morning after our doctor's visit to let everyone know the progress.

We Love you all.

Tommy, Sallie, Thomas and Mable.

More Pictures

So we have taken close to 300 pictures in less than 2 weeks. That is quite alot for Sallie and I and here are some of the ones we just liked. Yawning on the blanket Great Grandma Maria (Sallie's Grandma) made for him.

Here is another yawning picture. He usually Yawns so big that he makes himself cry. It is cute.

His first time finding his thumb to suck. You know what that means Self Soothing. More sleep is on the horizon.

Another cute picture of the thumb sucking.

Just staring at mom while she does his finger nails.

Probably should have been under Halloween but hey I messed up. Still super cute asleep in his swing.

Sleeping with Daddy and Mable.

Sleeping with Daddy again.

Just a few stretching exercises on Great Grandma Maria's quilt.

He is very inquisitive and likes to look around at everything going on.

Both our babies lying with Momma.

Mable loves to be close but is still not sure what to think of the baby.

A little Momma Mable time. Doesn't she look happy.

Content with her Momma.

Some beautiful flowers and cards we got from everyone. Thanks for all of the thoughts and well wishes.

His first bath. He hated it.

A Family portrait.

Daddy holding baby.

In his bouncy chair. Not to sure if he likes it yet.

Bat Dog.

Gosh he is soooo little.

I mean look how tiny he is.

Going for a stroll in the Baby Bjorn. He likes it. But not when it is warm out side.

Asleep in the chair. Boy he likes to be moved around.
