Mommy's School

While visiting my Cousin Becky and her husband Sidney we took a day to visit "Mommy's school". It was really nice to get to see campus which I have not seen since I graduated! We also got to visit with a couple of my co-workers...which was lovely! I did not do a great job with picture taking during these few days!

Walking on campus with "Aunt" Becky!

Walking in the Horseshoe.

Playing Aunt Becky's piano.
He spent most of his time banging out some tunes on the piano.

He was eating lunch and Uncle Sid's clemson hat was on the table. Before I could explain how we actually hate clemson he had the hat on! BOO!!!

Life's a Beach

Our time in S.C. started with a stay overnight in Ashville with our Cousins Sidney and Becky. Unfortunately I failed to take a single picture. We stayed with them later and I took several pictures then! Then we were off to Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Grandpa and Thomas. I think that might be one of the only pictures I have of Grandpa Aron smiling...ever.

Grandma and Grandpa took Thomas and I to the beach! Thomas enjoyed playing in the sand and in buckets of water.

But he refused to get much closer than about 50 yards to the actual ocean!

On the second day he did get about 20 yards closer. I did carry him down to the water and put his feet in. I think the lifeguard thought I was trying to drown him...you know the screams and all! He wasn't really that bad, he just did not want to go into the water.

He did however love the pier.
He loved being under it.

And on top.
Here Grandpa and Thomas are looking back at Grandma on the beach.

He may be scared of the water but he was not the least bit scared of this giant fish. He went straight for it and touched it, it is fake by the way.

Thomas and Mommy on the beach.

Look at the curls. Just add gallons of humidity and there you go!

Grandma, Grandpa and Thomas...making it easy on Grandma!
We went to Huntington, which is a state park, to look for alligators in the marsh.

They had the water low so we didn't see any.

Covered in sand again! He loved the sand!

I normally would not include a picture of myself in a bathing suit but this one is just priceless. I was just making a "it's a thousand degrees out here" face and HONESTLY had no idea the six-packed teenager in a bikini was behind me.

Although if I had known she was back there I may have made the same face!

Mere and Papa

Mere and Papa spent a few extra days with us after the wedding.

Thomas giving out kisses before Mere and Papa leave.

I think we are all enjoying his willingness to give kisses. I am sure someday soon kissing relatives will be "gross"!

We went out to dinner with Mere and Papa's friends from college, Pat and Boz. It would have been a lovely dinner, had we left Thomas at home! Good thing they know what almost two year olds are like!

Bye bye silver bullet

I doubt that anyone but me will care about this particular post but I don't care I am posting it anyway. We purchased a new (well new to us) car before we went to SC. It is wonderful and much needed but alas my car had to be traded in. She was a good car and as I have (up to this point) been her only driver...it was sad.

Four doors are better than two...particularly when kiddos are involved!

Goodbye Silver Bullet...you will be missed.

Wedding Fun

Here is a blog update...finally. We had a busy end of July, with a family wedding and then almost immediately after when to S.C. for a couple of weeks. Above Tommy trying on Thomas' hat...only slightly too small.

Tommy and I at one of the wedding events.

Thomas and Aunt Melanie doing yoga.

Thomas and Mere playing.

Papa and Thomas walking. The hat looks much cuter on Thomas than Tommy!

Aunt Megan attempting to finish her lunch with a very sleepy Thomas on her lap.

Thomas ready in his bow tie.

Thomas trying on the tux his Aunts got him. The pants were a little too big! To the chagrin of Mere and Mom a cable tie was used to keep his pants up. It worked and it worked well...darn!

My bow tied boys!
