Opening Weekend

Thomas was dressed to celebrate the opening weekend of the "Great American Pastime" ...baseball. Although, we didn't watch any...the Final 4 was(is) on!

A Day in the Life of Tommy V

I thought we would give everyone a rundown of a normal day in Thomas' life. He wakes up ready to eat usually between 5:30am and 6:30am. We bring him into our room and he lays on my lap on the boppy. I sleep while he eats. He usually is finished and awake by 7:30am. I put him back in his crib, give him a couple of toys and turn on the mobile.

I either go lay back down or wash my face and get dressed while listening to him play over the monitor. He usually plays by himself and is content until about 8:00am.

Then we go get him out of the crib and Mable usually says her good mornings, which usually consist of a nice sloppy kiss!

We go downstairs and Thomas plays while Mom eats her breakfast.
After my breakfast we play some more, usually on the floor. Between 9:30am and 10:00am Thomas has a bottle and goes down for his morning nap. He will nap anywhere from 40 minutes to (on a VERY GOOD DAY) 1.5 hours. When he wakes up we give him a couple of toys and let him play in his crib for a few minutes. Then we go downstairs to play for a while before lunch. If it is warm enough outside we take Mable on a walk.

He eats lunch around 1:00pm. Yesterday was the second day of trying peas.

He eats his lunch and then drinks (by drinks I mean plays with) his water and then we get cleaned up.
On Tuesdays we go to our Mom/Baby Connection group. Other days at this time we may run errands. Yesterday we went to the grocery store and today we might be going to the library. Soon we will start going to the library at 1:00pm on Wed. for story time!

If we don't have any errands to run we play or he plays while I wash dishes/bottles. He takes another bottle between 3:00pm and 3:30pm and goes down for another nap.

We play again after he wakes up and wait for Dad to get off of work.

Dad comes down and plays when he gets done with work...this might be Thomas' favorite time of day!

Yesterday they played video games together!

If it is warm enough at 5pm we all go on a walk together!

Thomas' bedtime routine starts at 7:15pm if he is getting a bath, if not then it starts at 7:30pm. We take him upstairs and get him dressed, then read him a couple of books. The person who is not reading lays on the floor and pets Mable! He gets his bottle after story time and then goes to bed soon after, usually by 8:00pm.

Reading a book with Daddy. They read "The Foot Book" twice...Tommy wants Thomas to understand what it is like to have boats as your feet!

Thomas really is already taking after his Dad...he was trying his darndest to grab the XBOX360 remote!

LeBlanc Family Visit

We had a great visit with Tommy's cousins Eugenie, John, Emily and Josey. They drove over from Missouri and we had a great time! Thomas enjoyed meeting his cousins and having new people to play with.

Thomas weighed in at a hefty 17lbs 2oz this week, he is very close to doubling his birth weight. He started eating green beans this week and LOVES them! He is much more into the green goo than the rice cereal goo.

We are looking forward to our visit from the LeBlanc family and will post pictures sometime this weekend.

5 Months Old

Thomas was officially 5 months old on Saturday, and no he didn't just sprout all of this lovely red hair! Tommy had fun putting his wig on him! I worked the MAC Gymnastics Championship Meet on Saturday and Tommy watched Thomas. As you can see from the pictures they had a good time! Lots of bonding time too! I certainly missed them both (and Mable) but it was nice to do some athletic work.

Tommy, Thomas and Pete watched a lot of basketball this weekend too. As you can see Thomas is getting the low down from Dick Vitale.
Thomas is almost constantly rolling over now, both from his back to his tummy and tummy to back. He loves to look at his Mable!
