Happy New Year! We hope that everyone had a great holiday and spent lots of time relaxing and hanging out with family. We sure enjoyed our relaxation time and time with Sallie's parents. They came in after Christmas and spent about a week with us. Above is a picture of Thomas in Grandma Paulette's arms smiling.
Thomas in the last couple of weeks has lost a little of his "I have to be in my Mom's arms every minute and if someone else tries to touch me I will cry" attitude. He almost eagerly goes to other people now, still keeping Mom in his eye sight.

Thomas is smiling like crazy now and doing an occasional laugh. Here Grandpa Aron was playing with him and had him giggling up and down!
It was so nice to have family in town and to be able to go out to dinner/lunch without worrying that he would cry the whole time. He is also getting on a bit more of a schedule, although it certainly is not concrete. We are still working on naps...mainly trying to get him to take one! The last couple of days he has been getting pooped out around noon and sleeping for an hour or so in his swing...which is great!
Grandma Paulette feeds Thomas his mid-day bottle. We are still breastfeeding almost exclusively, except for one bottle in the middle of the night and one bottle in the middle of the day. Both of which are a breast milk/formula mixture. Sallie needed some sleep at night so Dad graciously took over the middle of the night feeding. The middle of the day feeding is to get him a little more to eat, he is gaining enough weight but was eating every 1.5 hours, the mid-day bottle has helped satisfy his appetite.
